Sujeeth Shot Three Standout Sequences of OG in Just 2 Days

They Call Him OG, starring Pawan Kalyan and directed by Sujeeth, released today. The film is receiving positive word of mouth and has recorded one of the biggest openings for a Telugu film, with early estimates suggesting it could earn over ₹100 crore on its first day.

On Thursday evening, the team held a press meet to thank fans, the audience, and the media for their support. During the interaction, Sujeeth and music composer Thaman shared insights about the film’s making and some of the challenges they faced. Sujeeth also spoke about his plans for a cinematic universe, linking OG with Prabhas’ Saaho.

Sujeeth revealed how they worked with Pawan Kalyan to get the best out of him. “All we need is to convince him with confidence. Once he’s convinced, he will do whatever is needed,” he said. Pawan Kalyan, busy with his political responsibilities as Deputy Chief Minister and other ministry duties, could only give limited dates for the shoot and was juggling multiple film projects.

At the press meet, Sujeeth shared some interesting trivia from the shoot. On the first day, they filmed love montages featuring Kanmani, played by Priyanka Mohan. By the end of the day, Pawan Kalyan asked why love scenes were being shot for a gangster film. Sujeeth assured him that action sequences would follow. On the second day, they shot Ojas Ghambeera’s Bombay entry scene, the stepping-leg-in-water sequence, and the Mumbai police station scene. The third day included the Madurai police station and lodge sequences from the first half of the film.

These three sequences are some of the main highlights of the film. Completing them in just two days shows Sujeeth’s careful planning and how he made the most of Pawan Kalyan’s limited schedule, while also keeping the budget under control.

When asked about his cinematic universe and the link between OG and Saaho, Sujeeth said, “I have ideas about a universe, but nothing concrete yet. First, let me see the audience feedback. We’ll decide the next steps after that.”
