Thaman’s Real Redemption With Pawan’s OG!

Music director Thaman is one of the few composers in the film industry who overcomes criticism and reinvents himself with time. At one time, he faced tough competition from Devi Sri Pradad. After DSP slowed down, the other composers like GV Prakash and most recently Anirudh stood as his competitors.

The audiences also trolled, criticized and sent negativity towards Thaman’s work. But, Thaman showed perseverance throughout and reinvented himself once again with Pawan Kalyan’s OG.

There was a time when the fans and audiences did not want Thaman to score music for films, starring big heroes. However, Thaman always delivered hits for Pawan Kalyan. Be it Vakeel Saab or Bheemla Nayak, his music helped the film get the right elevation. So, the natural expectation is that Thaman will do his duty without any compromise. But today, the audiences could find faults with the release plan, or the content execution or the directorial skill of Sujeeth but no one is pointing fingers at Thaman.

In fact, Thaman plays a crucial role in bringing such a huge hype for OG. Ever since Hungry Cheetah track came out, there has been a huge anticipation around the project. As the release date approached, he planned the song releases in such a way that his music is the only promotional asset for the makers to bring craze to the movie. Today, his BGM lifted the movie altogether on the big screen in each and every scene.

Pawan Kalyan’s action scenes and all the elevation sequences are lifted well with the help of Thaman’s score. In a few recent interviews, Thaman took names of Anirudh’s hits like Jailer, Vikram and Beast and promised that OG will leave a bigger impact in the audiences.

Like he promised, he delivered today. If not Thaman, the makers would have been clueless of who could deliver this impact for OG. Such is his contribution to the film today. At the time of Akhanda, Thaman was in a similar situation but he reinvented himself strongly.

Now with OG, he has dodged all the odds and showcased one of his best works. Directed by Sujeeth, OG is produced by DVV Danayya.
