Short while ago Telangana CM KCR has announced his party’s GHMC Election manifesto. Along with it, KCR has also poured down many sops on the Telugu film industry. They include reopening of cinema halls, state’s share of GST reimbursement and ration cards to thousands of cine works.
And here comes the first reaction from the industry and it is none other than from Megastar Chiranjeevi. Taking to his Twitter, Chiru thanked CM KCR for the initiatives to revive the business in the industry. “Heartfelt Thanks to Hon’ble CM Shri. #KCR garu for the relief measures to the film industry. Trust that these compassionate measures surely will go a long way in reviving the industry badly hit by the pandemic and put it back on the path to progress. #TelanganaCMO,” tweeted Chiru.
In fact Chiru has been leading from the front to address the problems and concerns of the Telugu film industry to both the Telugu states. A couple of times he along with Nagarjuna and other noted film personalities have met KCR and Jagan and brought the industry’s problems to their notice.
Not just this during the lockdown, Chiru initiated the Corona Crisis Charity (CCC) and provided assistance to thousands of cine works. So it’s natural for Chiru to react first among many. Meanwhile, Nagarjuna also thanked CM KCR for keeping his promise. Nag wrote, “Utmost gratitude and thanks To the honourable CM of Telangana shri #KCR Garu for the much needed relief measures given to the Telugu film industry during these dark and uncertain times of Covid. #telanganaCmo”
