September 2025: Saviour Month Of Tollywood

The Tollywood witnessed a big success during Sankranthi in the form of Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam. However later, the films that were released after that failed to make a positive impression at the box office. With the producers failing to make use of the Summer season and the subsequent months, there have been multiple debates about the audiences not coming to theatres.

However, September has been the saviour for the box office in Telugu cinema. Despite the challenges of film industry strike and other issues, the September has been a joyful month for all those involved with movies.

No one expected that a small film like Little Hearts could perform well at the box office. Made by a bunch of filmmakers and backed by prestigious banners, the film was made with a budget of 2.5 Cr rupees but it made a revenue of more than 35 Cr rupees gross. It shows that the content matters and the audiences are willing to come to theatres.

Right after Little Hearts, two more movies gave a breathe of fresh air to the box office. One of them is Teja Sajja’s Mirai while the other one is Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas’ Kishkindhapuri. While Mirai comes out as a super hero film, Kishkindhapuri is the horror drama. Both the movies satisfied the target audiences, thus providing relief to the distributors and exhibitors.

Now, cut to the present, Pawan Kalyan’s OG is giving the right finishing touch to the box office. Directed by Sujeeth, the film opened to a big revenue on its release day. The film should manage the momentum to go big in the coming days to register new records altogether. The gangster drama is satisfying the hunger of all Pawan Kalyan’s fans.

On the other hand, the coming up films are Kantara: Chapter 1, and Idli Kottu.
