Director Sujeeth has carefully hinted that the film OG will have a second part, towards the end of the movie. However, there is no concrete clarity or a conclusion about the roadmap in getting there. For the time being, the team is enjoying the success of the movie. Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Sujeeth threw some light on the same.
When asked if the second part is a prequel or sequel, Sujeeth said that they are yet to take a call. However, Sujeeth clarified that they plan to shoot both the prequel and the sequel at the same time and release them together. Just like how team Baahubali planned the release of movies with precise clarity, Sujeeth also might be thinking about releasing both prequel and sequel without waiting for the result of the films.
On the other hand, Thaman who is also present in the interview clarified that OG is a universe that will survive for the next ten years. Sujeeth also opined that OG did not reveal the full potential of Pawan and it is just a sample. Sujeeth has a better clarity on showcasing the backstory of Pawan in Japan and what will happen after Arjun Das’ character took over the port. There are many subplots that are untouched which coudl be given an extension in the further parts.
The fans also want to request Pawan Kalyan to allocate dates to OG if at all he plans to make a comeback to cinema after the release of Ustaad Bhagat Singh. But despite Pawan’s political and administrative works, we have to see if it is possible.
