Tollywood’s Power Star and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s stylish action drama, They Call Him OG, had a solid extended weekend at the box offices across the world.
In Nizam, OG collected a good share in its 4-day theatrical run so far. A major portion of OG’s collection in Nizam was contributed by the hiked ticket rates, including the premiere shows, which are capped at Rs 800. On the other hand, the single-screen tickets were priced at Rs 227, while the multiplex tickets were fixed at Rs 445.
After a decent first weekend run, many expected OG’s Nizam Distributors, to reduce the ticket rates from Monday. But much to everyone’s surprise, They continued the hiked ticket rates on the first weekday for OG.
However, the Telangana government gave a shock to Distributors and Producer on Monday evening. The government has directed the immediate suspension of its OG’s ticket hike G.O. All single screens and multiplexes across the state shall remove all the special hikes for OG tickets with immediate effect.
Following the latest G.O., OG’s ticket rates are expected to be reduced to Rs 175 at single screens and Rs 295 at multiplexes, respectively. The move will also ensure a steady and extended run for OG, which is already inching closer to the break-even mark. It’s worth mentioning that the Telangana High Court was serious on the state government for issuing the OG ticket rates hike G.O.
