The OTT-release window is still a debatable topic in the film circles. On one side, the majority of South films are opting for a 4-week release window period, while some Hindi films are still struggling to gain acceptance in the theaters, with an 8-week window period. Amidst this, the makers of NTR’s upcoming film Dragon reportedly finalized an 8-week window period for the OTT release.
Reportedly, the makers of Dragon finalized the film’s OTT deal with Netflix for a whopping amount, on the condition that the film will be made available on the streaming platform only after 8 weeks of its theatrical release. The move has been made with an intention to get the film released in maximum screens across the North belt, with a lot of multiplexes appreciating the move.
However, NTR’s last film War 2 was also released on OTT after 8 weeks of its theatrical release. Today, as the film is available on OTT, a lot of audiences are showering love for it where it failed at theatres.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, Dragon features Rukmini Vasanth in the female lead role. Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling the project. More details of the film will be out soon.
