This Christmas, Patang Flies High on the Big Screen

This Diwali, Team Patang has officially announced its long-awaited release date! The vibrant sports comedy is set to hit theatres worldwide on December 25th, 2025, coinciding with the Christmas festivities.

Originally scheduled for release in December 2024, the makers decided to push the date to allow additional time for high-end CG work. Now, after a meticulous post-production journey, the film is ready to light up the big screens — bigger, brighter, and even more entertaining.

Patang is a one-of-a-kind sports comedy set against a kite-flying competition, a concept being introduced for the first time in Telugu cinema.

The film features debutants Preethi Pagadala, Vamssi Pujit, and Pranav Kaushik, with Anu Hassan, S.P. Charan, Vadlamani Srinivas, Vishnu Oi, and Sivanarayana in pivotal roles.

Directed by Praneeth Prattipati, Patang is produced by Vijay Sekhar Anne, Sampath Maka, Suresh Reddy Kothinti, and Naani Bandreddi under Cinematic Elements and Rishaan Cinemas.

A leading production house will soon be officially announced as the film’s presenter, promising a grand theatrical release this Christmas.
