Ravi Teja Confirms Interest in Tillu-MAD Crossover

Franchises and cinematic universes are gaining popularity in Indian cinema. In Telugu cinema, while there are big-budget franchises, smaller franchises have also made a strong impact. The Tillu and MAD series, produced by Sithara Entertainments, are examples of this.

The Tillu franchise has so far released two films: DJ Tillu and Tillu Square. Both starred Siddhu Jonnalagadda and were directed by Vimal Krishna and Mallik Ram, respectively. The films performed well at the box office and became familiar names among Telugu audiences. Following this, the makers announced the third installment, Tillu Cube, which will begin once Siddhu completes his current projects.

The MAD franchise also released two films: MAD and MAD Square, starring Narne Nithin, Ram Nithin, and Sangeet Sobhan, directed by Kalyan Shankar. The third film, MAD Cube, is planned and will start once the cast is available. Reports suggest there could be a crossover between Tillu Cube and MAD Cube, with Kalyan Shankar set to direct.

Ahead of his upcoming release Mass Jathara, starring Raviteja and directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu, Kalyan Shankar sat down with the actor and producer Naga Vamsi for a promotional chat. During the discussion, the topic of a Tillu-MAD crossover came up.

When asked if he would be open to such a film, Raviteja said he is ready to collaborate. He expressed interest in roles similar to Faahad Faasil’s Aavesham, highlighting strong character-driven performances. Kalyan Shankar jokingly suggested the crossover could be called Mass MAD Cube.

On the professional front, Raviteja is shooting for his next project, reportedly titled Bharta Mahaseyalaku Vignapthi, directed by Kishore Tirumala. He is also in talks to work with directors Shiva Nirvana on a thriller and Kalyan Shankar on a superhero film.
