Megastar Chiranjeevi’s next film with director Bobby Kolli, tentatively titled Mega158, marks their second collaboration after the 2023 hit Waltair Veerayya. The film was officially announced in August on Chiranjeevi’s birthday with a concept poster. The shoot is expected to begin in December, and the makers are planning to release it by the end of 2026.
In the last few days, reports claimed that actress Malavika Mohanan had been cast in a key role. However, the actress denied the news and clarified that she is not part of the project. Taking to social media, Malavika wrote that she would love to act with Chiranjeevi in the future, but the reports about her being in Mega158 are false.
“Hi guys, there are a lot of reports circulating online that I’m a part of Mega158 helmed by Bobby sir. While I would love to share the screen with the iconic Chiranjeevi sir at some point in my career, I just wanted to clarify that I’m not a part of this project and the reports are false,” she posted.
Malavika Mohanan is currently working on The Raja Saab, her upcoming Telugu debut film with Prabhas. Directed by Maruthi, the horror drama is set for release on January 9, 2026, in multiple languages.
Director Bobby Kolli, whose recent film Daaku Maharaaj starring Nandamuri Balakrishna released earlier this year, will direct Mega158 under KVN Productions. The film is planned as a mass entertainer, and details about the remaining cast and crew will be revealed soon.
