Sudheer Babu is coming up with a supernatural thriller Jatadhara, which made strong impression with its trailer and other promotional material. The film’s pre-release event was held today.
Director Sailesh Kolanu admired Sudheer Babu’s consistent hard work, which makes his films positively anticipated. He found the title Jatadhara catchy, resonating with Lord Shiva’s energy. “The trailer impressed me with its intriguing concept and brilliant technical execution, giving me goosebumps.”
Unlike before, Sudheer Babu spoke emotionally at the event. “Today, I want to speak only the truth- not that I’ve been lying, but some truths were left unsaid. If I ask myself who I am, the immediate answer is: Krishna’s son-in-law and Mahesh Babu’s brother-in-law. I state these facts with pride.
My desire to act was strong, but my responsibility to a family loved by millions was equally compelling. I knew that if the public’s affection for this family diminished even by one percent because of me, I would feel like a great failure.
As a sportsman and a stubborn fighter, I knew only how to try. My journey began with an inherited label, but my efforts were entirely my own. I went to countless production houses, armed with audition tapes of my stunts and dances, only to be offered coffee and a polite refusal in every office.
I don’t share this for sympathy. I seek only love and respect. When I hear the cheers, I know most are for Mahesh Babu, but I also know that somewhere, one or two people are clapping for me. That single, loyal supporter is the one I will fight for, and for the rest, I will put in full effort.
My 20 films, successes and failures alike, are solely the result of my own effort and choices. I have never asked for Mahesh’s help, even though he is always ready to assist. This is why I say: the reason I have done 20 films is one person- the one called ‘Krishna’s son-in-law, Mahesh’s brother-in-law, Sudheer Babu.’ This film, Jatadhara, is one of my best works.
The film is a ghost hunter story where the protagonist, a man of devotion, doesn’t believe in ghosts, and every mystical element has a scientific explanation, making it appealing to both believers and skeptics. The title, Jatadhara, perfectly reflects the blend of divinity and darkness. Sonakshi Sinha and Shilpa Shirodkar have delivered incredible 15-minute sequences that gave even me goosebumps. My goal now is simple: “Fight until you win, or fight until you die.” This line is from Jatadhara and it applies to me as well. I will multiply that one person cheering for me with every film.”
Jatadhara is set for release on the 7th of this month.
