This year, we have seen a couple of small films, like Court and Little Hearts, clicking well at the box office. Even last week’s release, The Great Pre-Wedding Show, received a positive response at the box office. This week’s release, Santhana Prapthirasthu, also appears to be a fair contender to join that list.
Starring Vikrant and Chandini Chowdary in the lead roles, Santhana Prapthirasthu showcases the struggle of a couple to conceive a child as the man has a low sperm count. The teaser and trailer were entertaining and received a good response from the audience. The film promises to be a comedy entertainer with a unique plot point.
This new-age content has good chances of appealing to the younger generation of audiences. The team needs to build on this decent anticipation and uniquely promote the film to generate more hype around it. Films like Little Hearts and Court benefited hugely from promotional activities apart from teasers and trailers. Moreover, if the content is good and lives up to the entertainment promised by the teaser and trailer, then Santhana Prapthirasthu may become another surprise winner at the box office.
Thus, unique promotions and promising content are all that’s needed for this film now. Let’s see what the makers have to offer in the next few days.
Santhana Prapthirasthu is directed by Sanjeev Reddy and produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy. Vennela Kishore, Tharun Bhascker, and Muralidhar Goud play other key roles in the film. It will hit the screens this Friday (November 14).
