Will Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Statement Turn True ?

One film which frequently grabbed the headlines despite not going on floors since its announcement four years ago is director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s cop drama ‘Spirit’ which will see Prabhas in the lead role. The regular shooting was originally supposed to kick off after Sandeep’s Animal. However, the long delay is attributed to Prabhas’ unavailability due to his prior commitments. 

In the last one year, there has been constant buzz that Spirit will start rolling once Prabhas allot his dates after wrapping up any of his current projects like The Raja Saab and Fauji. But, there is no such development so far much to the disappointment of Sandeep Reddy – Prabhas combo fans who have been waiting to witness an explosive on-screen outcome. With every passing month, the wait just got longer. 

Now, Sandeep Reddy Vanga himself announced that the much awaited start of Spirit will take place from the end of this month. He made this big statement during Jigiris event today in Hyderabad. Though Sandeep Reddy is confident about starting the shoot in the coming days, it is still doubtful if Prabhas can really manage to adjust his dates and start working on Spirit from this month because he still has some portions left for Hanu Raghavapudi’s war drama Fauji. 

As he has wrapped up most of the shoot for The Raja Saab, Prabhas can now concentrate on Spirit. But, he will need to manage different looks for both Spirit and Fauji. Moreover, he will need to swiftly change gears because his character in Spirit will be a complete departure from he essayed so far. Only in the coming days we will know whether Sandeep Reddy’s statement turns out to be true or not. There won’t be much surprise if the start gets postponed to next year. 

The Spirit sound launched for Prabhas’ birthday created a solid impact. No doubt, the buzz on the film will not diminish despite the significant delay.
