Few months ago, Telangana Minister Konda Surekha’s controversial remarks against Tollywood star Nagarjuna and his family created a political storm across the state. While criticizing BRS working president KTR, Surekha made comments that stirred strong reactions in the film industry. In response, Nagarjuna filed a defamation case against her.
In an unexpected turn, Konda Surekha has now withdrawn her comments about Nagarjuna and his family. She clarified that her statements were not intentional and that she had no intention to hurt or insult Nagarjuna or his family members. Expressing regret for her remarks, she announced on her X account that she was retracting her comments.
As the hearing for the case was scheduled for today, there was speculation about whether Nagarjuna would continue or withdraw the case. However, Nagarjuna has now decided to withdraw the defamation suit filed against Konda Surekha.
Nagarjuna informed the court about his decision through a virtual hearing, and the court officially closed the case. With this, the issue has finally come to an end.
Meanwhile, social media users are commenting that political leaders should think carefully before making statements in public. Many are reminding that whether they are film stars or politicians, everyone should exercise caution while speaking about others’ personal lives.
