Nikhil, known for choosing unconventional subjects, is now betting big on what is being widely seen as the most expensive and prestigious film of his career, Swayambhu. This film marks a decisive step into big canvas historical storytelling aimed at the Pan-India release.
Set against the backdrop of India’s rich civilizational heritage, the narrative ventures into untapped historical corridors, promising a blend of intense action, emotional drama, and cultural pride as it arrives in theatres worldwide on Maha Shivaratri, February 13th, 2026.
The release date video- Rise Of Syayambhu launched by the team confirms that the film’s shoot has concluded after a marathon two-year schedule that involved massive sets, large crowd sequences, and a highly demanding physical graph for the lead actor.
Nikhil’s preparation, ranging from body transformation to horse-riding and combat training, has been positioned as a key highlight, with the actor introducing his horse Maruthi and acknowledging the crew’s relentless work ethic. Interestingly, Nikhil also lent voice for Hindi version.
Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh are the leading ladies, while stalwart technicians including cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar, music director Ravi Basrur, and production designers M. Prabhaharan and Raveendar build a cinematic canvas designed for the biggest screens.
