Ram Pothineni’s unique entertainer Andhra King Taluka is carrying positive reports ahead of its release. All the songs, teaser, and trailer have received a massive response. Directed by Mahesh Babu P and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is set to release on the 27th of this month.
Mahesh Babu P clarifies that Andhra King Taluka is not simply inspired by one fan or a specific incident. “This movie is not about a single person or event. Long ago, I watched a film I didn’t like much, but a viewer beside me was deeply inspired by the dialogues, connecting with each one despite having no personal link to the hero. That emotional inspiration stayed with me. In South India, heroes are a part of our lives, and there is a lot of emotion in that relationship. This story is distinctive and unique, unlike any other fan-based story so far.”
The director reveals that he initially titled the film Andhra King. “The title Andhra King Taluka has a deeper meaning. The story is set in 2002, when the two states were united. Earlier, the film was titled Andhra King. While writing a scene, a dialogue referring to ‘whose taluka’ came up, and the hero’s emotional identity naturally shaped into Andhra King Taluka.”
Mahesh Babu praises Ram Pothineni wholeheartedly. “The character needed a powerful, energetic actor who could portray the behavior and mass attitude of a diehard fan, and Ram was perfect for it. We worked with Ram on the same wavelength, almost as if we were one. This film stands apart from his previous works. I can honestly say he went beyond his comfort zone, inspired by his fans, to portray this character wonderfully.”
He also affirms that Bhagyashri Borse’s character is very important. “Bhagyashri played her role effortlessly. Each character, including those played by Murali Sharma, Rao Ramesh, Satya, and Rahul Ramakrishna, carries their own emotional weight.”
