Tamil star Karthi’s upcoming film Vaa Vaathiyaar, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nalan Kumarasamy, is all set to be released in theatres in December 2025. Produced by KE Gnanavelraja under his Studio Green banner, the film will have a simultaneous release in Telugu under Annagaru Vostaru.
Today, makers unveiled the trailer. The trailer straightaway establishes that Karthi is a devout fan of late actor and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao garu just like his father, played by Rajkiran who is also known for celebrating his films in theatres.
The son eventually grows up to become a police officer, but has his own way of dealing with matters of crime that gets him into trouble. Sathyaraj, along with a few politicians are in discussions to conspire a major issue that causes public outrage.
While not many details can be deduced from the trailer, Vaa Vaathiyaar promises to be an unconventional dark comedy and a truly wacky entertainer. The properly cut trailer with Santosh Narayanan music uplifts more. The expectations are perfectly set for this crazy entertainer.
Featuring Krithi Shetty as the female lead, the film also features Shilpa Manjunath, Rajkiran, Anand Raj and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. Karunakaran, GM Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, PL Thenappan, Vidhya Borgia, Nivas Adthitan, and Madhur Mittal are also part of the cast.
