Swapna Cinemas, known for its unwavering pursuit of fresh storytelling, is coming up with period sports drama, Champion, being made in collaboration with Anandi Art Creations and Concept Films.
Presented by Zee Studios, directed by National Award–winning filmmaker Pradeep Advaitham, with Roshan playing the lead, the movie marks the comeback of veteran actor Kalyan Chakravarthy, son of NTR’s brother N Trivikrama Rao.
The actor who stepped away from the spotlight following his special appearance in Chiranjeevi’s Lankeswarudu, is returning to the silver screen after an extraordinary 35-year hiatus.
Swapna Cinemas had reportedly hoped to cast him as early as Yevade Subrahmanyam, but it was the emotional depth of the character in Champion that finally convinced the actor to say yes.
