Long Wait Over: Dragon Shoot Update After 6 Months

NTR and Prashanth Neel are collaborating on an action drama produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts. This was announced in 2021, and the team took their own time to start the shoot for many reasons. They began the shoot in February for a couple of days, and NTR joined the shoot in April for about two weeks. That’s it. From then on, there has been no update on the shoot, and we are now in December.

It is now almost confirmed that NTR and Prashanth Neel’s film, tentatively titled Dragon, will be made in two parts. Earlier, it was supposed to be shot as one single film. Reportedly, the team took a break and made necessary changes to the script before they resumed the shoot. And now it is time. We exclusively got to know that after a 6-month gap, the film is finally going to the sets this Saturday, December 13.

Prashanth Neel is moving from Bangalore to Hyderabad for the shoot, and NTR, who is currently in Hyderabad, is expected to join the schedule. This schedule will be a very demanding, continuous night-shoot schedule for over 20 nights for a crucial sequence of the film.

NTR has transformed into his leanest avatar yet, and the team plans to shoot both parts of the film together. They want to wrap the shoot for Part 1 by mid next year. The release should happen in December 2026 or early 2027.

On the other hand, Prashanth Neel’s wife, Likitha Reddy, confirmed the shoot commences soon by sharing a heartwarming post on Instagram, posting pictures of Prashanth Neel and her daughter before Neel left home for Hyderabad.

Dragon stars Jr NTR and Rukmini Vasanth in the lead roles. The film is directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, with music composed by Ravi Basrur.
