Bollywood Actress Confirms That Celebs Pay Paparazzi

The Paparazzi culture in Bollywood has become a topic of discussion in recent days. Recently, Hardik Pandya lashed out at the paps for inappropriately capturing his girlfriend. On the other side, Amitabh Bachchan’s wife Jaya Bachchan stirred a controversy by criticizing paps by saying that wearing dirty pants like drain pipes, and holding a mobile in their hands, they think they can take pictures of celebrities.

Now, actress Huma Qureshi said that paps are an important part of the Bollywood ecosystem and celebrities need to maintain a healthy relationship with them. She said that celebrities use paps to promote their films or to bring certain aspects of their lives into the public eye.

Huma stated that there have been times when stars needed to promote their films, they invite paps to premieres. “Whenever we want to be spotted somewhere, we call them. So, I don’t want to put all the blame on them,” she said. She went on to add that in her 10-12-year-old career, she always maintained a healthy relationship with the paparazzi. She said that whenever she doesn’t look her best, she respectfully asks them not to click her, and they oblige her request.

Not only Huma, but Priyamani also spoke about how celebrities use paps to promote themselves. She said that most of the Bollywood people call the paparazzi to airports, cafes and promotional events and pay them to get themselves clicked.

Going by these actresses’ comments, netizens are calling out Bollywood celebrities for their hypocrisy, paying paparazzi for coverage and then criticising them whenever they get irritated.
