NBK to Turn Singer for Gopichand Malineni’s Film

No introduction is needed for how enthusiastic Nandamuri Balakrishna is when it comes to singing. Lately, he has been performing a few songs from his films at various events. He previously turned a full-fledged singer with Paisa Vasool, directed by Puri Jagannadh, where he sang the song Mama Ek Peg La, which went on to become a chartbuster among the audience across all age groups.

After that, Nandamuri Balakrishna did not sing for any of his films, though he occasionally performed at events to make them more lively. Now, he is all set to sing again for a film. Nandamuri Balakrishna and Thaman form one of the most celebrated actor–music director duos. They have worked together on five films in a row, which is quite rare these days.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is now working with Thaman for the sixth consecutive time. He is on board as the music composer for NBK111, directed by Gopichand Malineni, who earlier worked with NBK on Veera Simha Reddy and also shares a strong association with Thaman. The duo has previously collaborated on films like Krack, Balupu and Veera Simha Reddy. Thaman has hinted that NBK will be singing a song in the film.

Speaking about it, Thaman said, “Balakrishna garu sings very well. We are planning to make him sing a full-fledged song in NBK111. It is a periodic drama set against the backdrop of kingdoms. I have plans to make him sing a song with powerful vibrations, something on the lines of Saahore Baahubali from Baahubali 2, which was sung by Daler Mehndi.” With this, it is now confirmed by Thaman himself that NBK will sing a song in NBK111.

NBK111 is an action drama set against a historical backdrop, with Nayanthara playing the female lead. The shoot begins in a couple of weeks. Arvind Kashyap, known for his work in Kantara, will handle the cinematography. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner.
