Dhurandhar is riding on an unstoppable wave at the box office, turning heads across the country with its storytelling and high-voltage moments. The film’s impact is clearly visible in packed theatres and growing word of mouth.
As per bollywood trade reports, Dhurandhar has smashed the ₹500 crore mark in just 10 days, and the big question now is whether the film can reach the elite ₹1000 crore club.
As the third week has started, there is a visible dip in bookings. However, the film is still holding strong, trending at around 20K tickets per hour on BookMyShow on Monday. This steady momentum, despite the usual weekday slowdown, is a positive sign.
With no major Bollywood releases lined up for the rest of the month and a long OTT window in place, trade experts believe it wouldn’t be a surprise if Dhurandhar eventually crosses ₹1000 crore and emerges as the highest grosser of the year in Indian cinema.
The result now depends purely on content and word of mouth. The film did not carry massive pre-release buzz and faced mixed reviews along with targeted negativity after release. Yet, strong audience feedback has changed the narrative completely.
Akshaye Khanna plays a crucial role in pulling audiences from multiple languages. One particular scene, where he appears with sheer swag, caught instant attention. The moment went viral on social media, attracting not just North Indian audiences but also creating strong curiosity among South viewers.
His performance earns full marks throughout the film, turning him into a major asset for Dhurandhar. This clearly proves how one well-written, well-presented scene when backed by social media virality can work wonders at the box office and expand a film’s reach beyond its core market.
Positive talk, combined with a delayed OTT release, has pushed audiences back into theatres. This is a healthy trend that every big Succesful South Indian film aims to achieve. Drawing crowds purely on theatrical experience rather than quick digital availability.
If Dhurandhar manages to hold this pace for another 10 days, it could fully capitalize on the Christmas and New Year holiday season as well, giving it a real shot at entering the prestigious ₹1000 crore club.
