Thaman Worried About Fan Wars Trend in Tollywood

Music director Thaman has voiced his concern over the growing fan driven negativity in Tollywood. Speaking at the success meet of Akhanda 2, he said the Telugu film industry has something truly special, a large number of star heroes and an unmatched fan following. However, he feels this very strength is slowly turning into a problem.

Thaman pointed out that Telugu cinema is praised everywhere for its scale and reach. Outside the industry, people speak highly about Tollywood and its stars. But within the industry, he feels there is a lack of unity. According to him, constant fan wars and social media fights are creating unnecessary negativity and hurting the industry as a whole.

He also spoke emotionally about the recent release delay of Akhanda 2. The film was supposed to release on December 5 but got postponed at the last moment due to unexpected legal issues. Thaman said many people chose to speak negatively in public instead of supporting the producers during a difficult time. He reminded everyone that producers also have families and face immense pressure when a release gets stalled just hours before hitting theatres.

Thaman stressed that when one film faces trouble, the entire industry should stand together. Instead of attacking each other online or celebrating setbacks, filmmakers and fans should show understanding and support. He said social media has become a space where films are constantly pulled down by rival fan groups, and this trend needs to stop.

Calling for unity, Thaman said he is ready to support any film, whether through promotion, tweets, or public appearances. He urged everyone to move forward together, reduce negativity, and protect the positive image Telugu cinema has built over the years. According to him, only unity can help Tollywood grow stronger in the long run.
