Music director Thaman is currently promoting his new film, Akhanda 2. Unlike the film’s first part, the second part received mixed reviews. In some areas, speakers in some theatres were blasting due to poor functionality. Thaman shared his perspective on the matter.
It has been a common complaint about Thaman’s music that the sound levels in his movies are high and his sound mixing is poor. He is often subjected to trolls and criticism for the same. Thaman addressed it in a recent interview, saying that the fault lies not with him but with the speakers.
“A lot of theatres underwent renovation recently, and they changed the screens as well as the projectors. But in many theatres, the speakers have yet to be changed. It is not my fault. After I complete the mixing, there will be several checks of quality, including by the authorised persons who do a sound check from the Dolby company. I am not the final authority on mixing and decibel levels,” said Thaman.
He also added, “They have to service the speakers. Becuase, the situation is not there in other areas but only in some places where the speakers are faulty.”
