Salman Khan’s New Teaser Makes No Big Noise

Salman Khan turned 60 on Saturday and gave his fans a birthday treat by unveiling the teaser of his upcoming film Battle of Galwan, which is reportedly inspired by the infamous 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops. The film is directed by Apoorva Lakhia, who is known for Shootout at Lokhandwala.

The one minute brief teaser presents Salman Khan as an intrepid Indian army officer with a rather quiet demeanor and subdued intensity. The glimpse starts off on a patriotic note with chants of soldiers as the camera glides through the picturesque mountain valleys and then leads to Salman Khan’s powerful entry. He leads a troop soldiers who are battle-ready to confront enemies coming from the opposite direction.

Except for Salman Khan’s commanding screen presence, there is nothing much to rave about the teaser cut. The close up shots centered on Salman and the haunting background score are the only sparks in the teaser.

As the film is based on real incidents involving a clash between two countries, many expected the makers to come up a solid and riveting glimpse that will give instant goosebumps to viewers and scale up the buzz on the film. But, there are no such highlights in the teaser which offered slight disappointment to fans and moviegoers.

The response for the teaser is quite underwhelming as it lacks any engaging elements. The makers should need to come up with more impactful promotions in the coming days to create significant hype on the film ahead of its release in Summer next year.

Battle of Galwan will release in theatres on April 17, 2026. Produced by Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, the film also stars Chitrangada Singh, Abhilash Chaudhary, Ankur Bhatia and few others in prominent roles.
