Versatile Mallu Actor Emerges as Tollywood’s Favourite

Tollywood always provides ample opportunities for talented artists and technicians. Already, several actors from other languages have carved out a niche here with meaty roles. Another versatile actor who is now turning out to be a favourite for Telugu filmmakers is Prithviraj Sukumaran. 

After Salaar and Varanasi, Prithviraj has now reportedly signed his third film in Telugu. As per reliable reports, the makers of Nani’s upcoming film with OG director Sujeeth have roped in Prithviraj for a strong author-backed role. Official confirmation is still awaited.

The film, tentatively titled Bloody Romeo, is said to be a dark comedy thriller with a tinge of Sujeeth’s trademark action.

Nani will find a solid on-screen competitor with immense acting calibre. Moreover, Sujeeth has the habit of giving a terrific makeover to all main characters in the narrative. So, Prithviraj will be looking to make a successful career in Tollywood with a sensational line up of films in the coming years. 

Prithvi is one of the finest multifaceted actors in South cinema. His role in Prabhas’ Salaar earned brownie points and brought him closer to Telugu audience. Up next, he will be seen as a prime antagonist in SS Rajamouli’s globe-trotting action adventure ‘Varanasi’ which stars Superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role. 

His first look as Kumbha in Varanasi, which smacks of sinister and menacing qualities with a futuristic set-up, received a terrific response from moviegoers across the globe after it was unveiled last month. Varanasi will no doubt provide a major boost to his career and make him widely known beyond India.

Even before the release of Varanasi, Prithviraj Sukumaran is emerging as one of the most sought after actor for pivotal roles in big-ticket films.
