Thanks to the social media evolution, the volume of content creators has been growing at an exponential rate. Incidentally, several of these content creators have now started to use AI for their video generation.
On top of that, we have seen a new trend where AI is being used to regenerate the imagery of certain Telugu heroes and mini films are being created on the same. These AI films replicate Telugu superstars while the creator can spin whatever story he wants with it.
Incidentally, one such creator had put up a series of videos featuring Pawan Kalyan’s son, Akira Nandan, and these videos immediately gained traction. This series was title AI Love Story and it invited the intervention of Akira, who approached the Delhi High Court on the same.
The Delhi High Court immediately issued an injunction order on this matter as it instructed content creators to refrain from using Akira’s imagery on social networks without his consent.
We have seen several Telugu heroes approach, legal authorities on this matter and sanction injunction against using their images without consent. The same process was followed by Akira as well.
This could be a warning sign to content creators, who have been using AI to generate millions of views by using the images of star heroes. This content does not have any censorship or audit so no one knows when it could go wrong. But now the court has set a strong precedent by imposing an injunction order.
