Will Akhil Sacrifice For Ram Charan?

Ram Charan should have arrived in theatres with Peddi on the occasion of his birthday, March 27 this year. But there have been strong reports about the postponement of this film due to the delay in the production, which was expected to be the case as well. 

Now it is nearly confirmed that the Charan-starring film would not be arriving in theatres on March 27, and the makers are already contemplating a different release date. 

In this context, the latest developments have been suggesting that the makers of this rural action film have been zeroing in on May 1 release for the film. This is projected to be the optimal release date for the film as the production would be done by then and there will be ample time for promotions.

But there is a complication here as Akhil Akkineni had already locked the May 1 slot for his upcoming film Lenin. The makers had announced the release date much in advance, and the promotions have also started.

This film is of quintessential importance to Akhil, as this happens to be his genuine and honest attempt after horrifying dud, Agent. Akhil appears to be very confident and adequately optimistic about this film, which will have a crucial role in his career. 

If at all Peddi plans the May 1 release slot, there will be a lot of convincing to do with regard to Lenin as Akhil will have to sacrifice the desired release window to Charan. Notably, Lenin team has been working towards this date and they have already initiated the promotions, so a postponement is going to be a very tough proposition.

Considering the fact that Charan and Akhil are very good friends, there is very little chance that both the films would be clashing on the same day at the box office. At the end of the day, it could be coming down to which production house would be able to convince the other and secure this May 1 slot which has gained prominence all of a sudden.
