Funky Trailer: A Fun-Filled Director’s Struggle

Anudeep needs to make a comeback at any cost. Post the success of Jathi Ratnalu, he is yet to deliver a proper hit, and for this reason, he has teamed up with Vishwak Sen for a comedy caper titled Funky. After keeping the film in the news through interesting promos, the makers finally revealed the trailer.

There is no denying the fact that the trailer has a few moments that click. The promo is cut in a way that the director wanted to showcase the best he has. Vishwak Sen is seen as a wannabe director, and Kayadu Lohar plays the producer. What happens when the duo decides to make a film? Will they land in a mess or fall in love? This aspect forms the basic backdrop of the film. 

The trailer is filled with moments for which Anudeep is famous. The starting and ending of the trailer are packed with one-liners that we associate with all Anudeep films. Vishwak Sen looks fresh and plays his fun role well, but it is Kayadu Lohar who looks beautiful and shares crackling chemistry with him.

Story-wise, there is nothing new, and everything depends on punch dialogues and situational comedy. Some moments click, but a majority look a bit dull. The story is not highlighted much, and one needs to see how the film fares when it releases on February 13, 2026.
