The Nagabandham teaser was released and received good response. A few minutes after the release, hero Nikhil took a direct dig at the film, saying, “No AI has been used in our film, unlike other recently released films.”
The Swayambhu team claims there is no AI involved in their film. It is entirely their effort, done live and with CG.
The debate over whether using AI is inferior will continue for a few more days. In a recent interview, SS Rajamouli said the Varanasi glimpse has no AI involved and that saying there is AI is an insult to the hard work of his team.
Even though many people say the use of AI will become very common in movies in the coming days, for now, many in the industry see it as a crime.
Nikhil may be upset by the comparisons and feels he deserves better recognition for all the hard work.
Maybe he does, but if there is any mistake in this episode, it is Nikhil’s direct dig at Nagabandham.
He should have kept his cool and not spoken about other films.
It is okay for him to proudly state that his film does not use AI. But saying that other films do will send the wrong signal about him.
Some people may say he is jealous of the response to the Nagabandham teaser, which is completely unnecessary.
Nikhil missed the trick in that aspect.
Both Swayambhu and Nagabandham will release this summer. The comparisons will only grow from here, obviously because of their similar genre, setup, and ambition.
So from now on, Nikhil should learn to address the issue more carefully. He has a very good image, and these days, it is important to maintain it.
