The much-awaited combo of Jr NTR and director Prashanth Neel is progressing at a brisk pace, and the latest buzz suggests the film is most likely to hit screens this year itself. While there were doubts about delays, sources close to the unit reveal to us that the makers are working with a clear release plan in mind.
Earlier, there were reports that the film might release only in 2027, but the current developments indicate otherwise.
Currently, the team is wrapping up a crucial schedule in Jordan some crazy action sequences of the film are being canned. Interestingly, insiders say this will be the film’s last major outdoor shoot.
Once this schedule is done, the remaining portions will be canned entirely at Ramoji Film City. A specially erected set is said to host the balance shoot, which will reportedly happen at a rapid pace.
Though the previously announced June release date now looks difficult to meet, the production is determined to bring the film to theatres before the year ends.
Tentatively titled Dragon, the film made headlines as unverified speculations came out that NTR was not happy with a few scenes and asked Neel to reshoot them, which created a bit of friction between the two. Well, things are back on track, and Dragon is moving at a brisk pace.
Given Neel’s style of high-voltage action drama and NTR’s massive screen presence, expectations are sky-high. If everything goes as planned at RFC, an official release update could be around the corner. Rukmini Vasanth plays the female lead in this film.
