It has been a while since the release of talented actor and writer Adivi Sesh’s previous outing. After playing the lead role in the second installment of Hit franchise, Sesh appeared in a cameo in the third part. He is now awaiting back-to-back releases in a short span after staying away from limelight for nearly three years.
Sesh’s long awaited romantic action thriller ‘Dacoit’ is slated to hit the screens on March 19th. However, reports started making rounds from the past few days that Dacoit is likely to avoid a direct box office clash with Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic. Surprisingly, the team has not responded on these unsubstantiated reports so far and this has further raised doubts about the release plans.
Meanwhile, there is a strong speculation in the media circles that the makers are considering a new release date in April after deciding to postpone the film from March 19th. But, there is no hint from any official source till now even though all Summer slots are getting filled up quickly including March and April.
Summer is turning out be a busy season as numerous films have finalized their release dates in March and April. Sesh and his team should wake up and announce the release date before it gets too late. They should kick start the promotions and create hype for the film to withstand the hectic competition at the box office.
Dacoit is billed as a bilingual and was shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. Directed by Shaneil Deo, the film has screenplay by Sesh. Dacoit features director Anurag Kashyap in a prominent role and Mrunal Thakur as the female lead.
