Pawan Should Enter the Ring for Ustaad

Pawan Kalyan’s long awaited cop drama, Ustaad Bhagat Singh will be the first Tollywood biggie of this year’s Summer season. Trade circles have pinned a lot of hopes on this film because box office has been going through a dull phase after Sankranti festival. 

As Ustaad Bhagat Singh reunites the blockbuster combination of dashing filmmaker Harish Shankar with Pawan Kalyan after Gabbar Singh, the film is expected to generate solid hype among moviegoers. And, the first teaser and first single initially managed to create decent buzz. However, the hype gradually started waning as there is no big spark in the promotional content so far. 

The second single evoked a mixed response and further disappointed Pawan Kalyan’s fans who expected a unanimous banger from Devi Sri Prasad. Also, they are waiting for a more aggressive promotional strategy from the makers ahead of the film’s release to scale up the anticipation among audiences. All eyes will be on the trailer now. 

A lot of money is riding on Ustaad Bhagat Singh as it has been in the making for nearly four years now. The production got delayed due to various factors including Pawan Kalyan’s limited availability because of his political commitments. The film requires a big boost to its hype in order to register massive openings in all territories. 

If Pawan Kalyan comes out and spares a couple of days for promotions despite his hectic schedule, it will be a major turning point for Ustaad Bhagat Singh. He did a similar thing in the last minute for Hari Hara Veera Mallu when there was no proper buzz before its release. 

Though Ustaad Bhagat Singh is a different case and commands better hype compared to HHVM, it would be ideal if Pawan steps out and pushes the buzz to the next level with his stardom. His presence at promotions would definitely turn the tables for Ustaad and result in a phenomenal start. 

Sources say that Pawan might not be available for extensive promotions due to the current political scenario in Andhra Pradesh. But, he can allot at least one or two days to give a punch to the film’s hype as Assembly sessions might end in the first week of March. 

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is a crucial film for both Harish Shankar and Mythri Movie Makers. So, they would be hoping for Pawan Kalyan’s timely support to boost the theatrical prospects with his promotions. They know that only Pawan’s presence can give a filip to the hype. 

The film is slated for release on March 27th.
