Two Telugu Students Die In Fire Mishap In London

Two Telugu students died in a fire mishap in London. One other student, living along with them, was injured and is undergoing treatment in a hospital.

The two Indian students who died were identified as Kamineni Sai Srikar, 26, from Nizamabad, and Ganti Abhishek, 28, from Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh.

The mishap occurred at a rented house in Croydon, South London, on February 23. All the three students were admitted to Croydon University Hospital with serious injuries. Srikar was declared brain-dead after several days of treatment. His family sought repatriation of his body to India. Srikar went to London to pursue higher studies after completing his engineering in Hyderabad.

Reportedly, Ganti Abhishek died due to asphyxiation after smoke spread the entire house. The third student, who also suffered injuries, is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.
