In the competitive world of Telugu cinema, getting a first break as a director is never easy. For Sudheer Sreeram, the journey was filled with struggle, rejection, and hope. In a recent conversation with Gulte Pro, he shared how his debut film Sampradayini Suppini Suddapoosani became a reality.
Sudheer revealed that this was the first time he had ever been invited for an interview. He was surprised when Team Gulte reached out after watching the trailer and noticing something special in it.
He spoke honestly about his early days. There was a time when he used to search for producers on Instagram and send them direct messages, hoping at least one person would reply. Many days passed with no response. There were also moments when he was confused, worried about money, and unsure about his next step.
A big turning point came when director Anil Ravipudi encouraged him. That support gave Sudheer the confidence to keep going. He also shared a memorable moment with senior actor Sivaji, who once jokingly predicted that Sudheer would one day build his own theatre.
Sudheer comes from Udayagiri. He mentioned that the nearest theatre to his hometown is almost 40 to 50 kilometers away. That is one reason he wants his film to reach as many people as possible.
As his debut film gets ready for release, Sudheer remains humble. Whether audiences watch it in theatres or on television, he simply hopes they connect with the story and enjoy the film.
His journey proves that behind every debut film lies years of hard work and silent struggle.
