Shocking Strategy From ‘Toxic’ Makers Diluting Hype?

Yash’s long awaited actioner Toxic is going to face a stiff competition from Bollywood’s most eagerly awaited sequel Dhurandhar 2 on March 19. Yet, the makers of Toxic are failing to come up with an aggressive promotional strategy to match the hype surrounding its competitor in this epic clash. 

So far, the team unveiled a couple of teasers. Now, the much hyped first single has been released without any visuals and simply with a poster featuring Yash and Kiara Advani in a romantic pose. This is quite shocking to fans who are expecting a sneak peek into the lavish visuals in the song. 

Songs from big-ticket films are usually unveiled with a lot of fan frenzy and hysteria to generate massive buzz on the film. However, the unconventional strategy adopted for the first song of Toxic came as a big surprise to audiences. 

The song rendered by Visha Mishra and the lyrics penned by different lyric writers for multiple languages is slowly gaining the appreciation of music lovers due to the impressive tune and catchy lines. But, lack of visuals has not delivered the intended impact and disappointed fans very much.

Whatever may be the reason behind the team’s strategy, the low-key promotional content is diluting the hype on the film. Despite having four other leading actresses in prominent roles, the team only introduced them through posters, but didn’t giving them any screen space in the teasers. 

While Dhurandhar 2 is already way ahead in terms of buzz and advance sales, Toxic is lagging behind due to the underwhelming promotions. With just two weeks to go, Yash and his team should come with a proper strategy to generate strong buzz on the film in order to stay in the race.
