Kannadiga Actresses Unite To Fight Against Obscene Photography

Sapthami Gowda has boldly spoken out against inappropriate behaviour by paparazzi at public events, calling for more respect and professionalism from photographers and videographers.

Sapthami recently took to Instagram to highligh how certain media personnel use unnecessary zoom-ins and intrusive camera angles that focus more on actresses’ bodies than their craft, something she called disrespectful and unacceptable.

In her message, Sapthami stressed that female actors are in the industry for their work, not to be objectified, and asked media professionals to treat women with basic dignity and decorum.

Her stand has quickly gained support from fellow stars too. Rukmini Vasanth and Ashika Ranganath joined the conversation by publicly backing Sapthami’s call to stop invasive photography at events, emphasizing that women should be valued for their talent and not reduced to objectified images on social feeds.

The trio’s united voice has struck a chord with fans and many in the industry, reigniting a broader discussion about how female performers are covered in press photos and videos.

Their collective stance is being praised as a step toward creating a more respectful environment for women in cinema, one where focus shifts back to performance and professionalism rather than superficial visuals.
