Box Office: Will Small Films Give a Good Start to March?

After a largely dry February, the Tollywood box office is looking forward to a promising start in March 2026. Even though it is exam season for students, the absence of regular moviegoers in theatres is causing concern. A notable number of new releases are arriving tomorrow, and the weekend’s success will depend on which of them manages to impress audiences.

Sree Vishnu, who recently came with Vishnu Vinyasam, is returning within a week with Mrithyunjay. For the first time, Sree Vishnu is attempting a serious crime thriller and has placed strong faith in director Hussain Shah Kiran, who comes from Sukumar’s team.

Another film, Sampradayini Suppini Suddhapusani, which was initially planned for OTT and later shifted to theatres, is being aggressively promoted. Starring Shivaji and Laya, this family drama has even announced special offers to attract audiences.

S. Saraswathi, directed by Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, is also generating curiosity with promises of a different screenplay. Its big casting and music by Thaman are key attractions.

Apart from these, Mension House Mallesh, the dubbed film Kaa The Forest starring Andrea, and a small film titled Cockroach are also in the race. All these films are content-driven and mostly serious in tone, not regular entertainers. By tomorrow evening, it will be clear which ones truly win audience support.
