Did Naga Vamsi’s Impulsiveness Help Mad Square or Not?

Mad is one of the successful film franchises in Telugu cinema. Right after the success of the first part, the makers immediately began Mad 2, titled Mad Square. Directed by Kalyan Shankar and Sangeeth Shobhan, who played one of the leads, revealed today that given a chance, he would not have done the film.

Speaking in an interview with Gulte pro during the promotions of the film Rakasa, Sangeeth admitted that the team attempted Mad Square in a hurry. He shared that the team went to Goa to chill out after the success of Mad. During the trip, they accidentally stumbled upon some ideas which Kalyan later pitched to Naga Vamsi, who immediately pushed the team to bring the film to life.

“I would not say it’s bad, but Vamsi anna is an impulsive person. But, it is his guts that made Mad possible, and if given a chance, we would not have done Mad 2, but maybe we would have done it a little differently. Additionally, it is Vamsi Anna’s guts that all push us forward,” shared Sangeeth.

In fact, Naga Vamsi long back admitted the same that he realised that he hurried the team into making the film but could have given some more time to make the film better. Inspite of that, there are people who loved Mad Square more than Mad.

The reality is that Mad Square could have come better if the team had more time. Kalyan is a proven writer and director who could have delivered a better product.

Even today, people debate about Vamsi’s impulsiveness with regards to Mad Square on social media but then the best part is that Vamsi made use of the Mad craze and hype without it getting drained out. Whatever it may be, in the end, the film did not fail at the box office but could only have become much better if given more time.

Naga Vamsi might have learned his lessons out of this and this would not be repeated again!
