In a landmark outcome for the Telugu Film Directors Association elections, the panel led by V.N. Adithya and backed by National award winning filmmaker Sai Rajesh secured a commanding victory. V.N. Adithya was elected president while Sai Rajesh assumed the position of treasurer.
Though many within the industry view Sai Rajesh as the central figure who energised the campaign, he consciously stepped aside from the top post and projected V.N. Adithya as the president. Known for his organisational work and close connections with working directors, Rajesh focused on strengthening the association’s foundation.
His win is so iconic. Sai Rajesh secured 938 votes out of 1054 votes. For the first time in director association elections, someone secured this many votes and Sai Rajesh becomes the young director to achieve this feet. This win reflects the panel and director’s faith in Sai Rajesh.
The panel’s success was driven by broad support from filmmakers across generations. From senior directors to busy contemporary filmmakers, many turned up to vote and express confidence in the team’s agenda.
