The much-awaited film Dhurandhar 2 is gearing up for its overseas premieres, but with a rather unusual release strategy. As of now, premieres have been planned exclusively in North America, with late-night shows scheduled to kick things off.
This focused approach has already sparked discussions among trade circles and fans alike. According to industry buzz, the film’s first half content is expected to be delivered by tomorrow evening, while the second half is likely to reach by Wednesday afternoon.
This staggered delivery has played a key role in limiting the film’s premiere rollout to just one major overseas territory for now.
Interestingly, apart from North America, advance bookings have not yet opened in other international markets. While this could have had a noticeable impact on the film’s overall overseas openings, the current trend in North America appears to be highly encouraging.
The region has been witnessing a sensational surge in advance sales and audience interest, which might offset the lack of premieres elsewhere. Despite the late-night scheduling, it is crucial for Dhurandhar to fully capitalize on the North American market.
Missing out on this momentum could prove costly. If the film manages to strike a chord with audiences during these premieres, it could set the tone for a strong global run in the days to follow. Aditya Dhar directs the film which releases on March 19, 2026.
