Ustaad’s Last-Minute Headache in Vizag!

Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh had a last-minute headache from the Vizag Territory. Gayathri Pictures Satish is the long-term distributor for Mythri Movie Makers since their start but he could not keep up his commitment for the film and so, Mythri had to let go off him. They are going to release the film themselves there.

Mythri Ravi is off to Vizag and he will do agreements with the theaters directly. This will eliminate paying commission to anyone if they release through others.

Since Satish did agreements already with theaters, things would become easy for Mythri. They would just change the agreements on to their name.

But why did Satish could not fulfill his commitment?

Gayathri Pictures is a old player in Vizag area. Satish purchased Akhil Akkineni’s Agent AP and TS Rights for a whopping 37 Crore but the movie could not even collect 7 Crore Share in its full run resulting in a whopping loss. We all know the legal battle between Satish and Anil Sunkara later on.

Keeping that aside, Satish suffered a massive blow and was struggling to recover since then. He made a comeback to distribution with Akhanda 2 but suffered heavy losses.

He bagged the Vizag rights of Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu for a fancy amount and backed off similarly at the last minute. Sahu Garapati had to release the movie on his own through Natti Kumar at the eleventh hour.

The Problem is that he have to pay back the advances paid by the Exhibitors for Akhanda 2 and so, they were not giving new advances. He could not mobilize the money on his own to pay the Producer.

Mythri imposed faith on Satish even then because he is their regular distributor. But he repeated the same.  

Unlike Sahu, Mythri is not releasing the movie through someone else at the last minute and they will release the movie on their own and save commission.
