Shocking: SRK Says No To Big Cameo In Jailer 2?

Superstar Rajinikanth scored his career’s biggest hit in 2023 with the action thriller Jailer. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, this movie also features pivotal guest appearances by Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar and Malayalam star Mohanlal. Following the success of these cameos, Nelson tried introducing more stars for Jailer’s sequel, Jailer 2.

Recently, it was widely reported that Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan would be playing a cameo, along with Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar, in Jailer 2. It was added that SRK, Shivanna, Mohanlal, and Rajini would together shoot an important sequence in the movie very soon. However, the latest reports from B-Town reveal that there is no truth to SRK playing a cameo in this movie.

According to Bollywood media, SRK rejected the offer to maintain his current look exclusively for his upcoming film, King. It was reported that the makers of Jailer 2 approached SRK for a five-day shooting schedule.

Reportedly, SRK was also interested in doing it, but on one condition: he wanted to do the cameo only if Jailer 2 releases after King, because he did not want to reveal his look before the release of King. As Jailer 2 is slated for an August release and King will hit the screens in December, SRK and the Jailer 2 team have amicably decided to drop the collaboration.

Earlier, it was also reported that Nandamuri Balakrishna would play an important cameo in Jailer 2. However, after doing the rounds in the media for a long time, those reports did not materialise. Now, the film finds itself in a similar situation with Shah Rukh Khan. It remains to be seen if the makers go back to Balakrishna or approach another star hero for this cameo.

Despite turning down the offer, Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly shown interest in collaborating with Rajinikanth in the future for another film, if given a chance. In the past, Rajinikanth did a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One. He also paid tribute to Rajini with the song Lungi Dance in the film Chennai Express.
