Mrunal Should Take Nag Ashwin’s Big Advice Seriously

Having made her debut in telugu with the film Sita Ramam, Mrunal Thakur proved herself as an actress more than a heroine. Immediately with Hi Nanna, she displayed her versatility. However, her third film, The Family Star, ended as a dud. Otherwise, she would have been the primary choice for many stars and filmmakers in Telugu. But, she is making the right buzz now with the film Dacoit.

Mrunal’s performance in Dacoit is widely appreciated. She played her part well, on par with Adivi Sesh. The film will definitely bring respect to Mrunal’s filmography.

Director Nag Ashwin, who cast Mrunal for a small role in Kalki 2898 AD, heaped praises over her during the film’s promotional event. He compared her to legendary actresses like Smita Patil and Madhubala.

Nag Ashwin suggested that Mrunal to not sign anything that comes her way and be very selective about her choices, so that she creates a legacy like the legendary heroines.

But, her recent choices in Bollywood are below par. Son of Sardaar 2 is an example of how different Mrunal’s choices are compared to what we are expecting.

In the recent past, Do Deewane Seher Mein, Pippa, Aankh Micholi and Gumrah did not add any value to her career in Hindi. Lust Stories 2 also brought a lot of criticism. The item song that she did in Selfie also did not help.

Mrunal has a significant talent for acting in intense emotional sequences without resorting to over-the-top expressions, which is a rare quality among actors of the current generation. Therefore, she should pick substantial roles to build a strong image rather than settling for regular films, even those from Hindi cinema.
