While he continues to admire the craft and scale of the film directed by Aditya Dhar, RGV has openly criticized the portrayal of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. He stated that the depiction shown in the film does not align with what he knows about the real-life figure.

According to RGV, while filmmakers may have their own sources, the version presented on screen feels inaccurate to him. He even went on to suggest that Dawood may have stepped away from active criminal operations nearly two decades ago, making the film’s narrative questionable.

Interestingly, despite this criticism, RGV maintained that such subjects are hard to verify, as no one can definitively prove or disprove these portrayals. This makes cinematic interpretations more subjective than factual.
