B-town Vibe for Salman’s Film, Can Paidipally Handle It?

A new update about the upcoming collaboration between Salman Khan and Vamshi Paidipally has sparked fresh discussion in film circles. As per ongoing reports, the film is likely to feature multiple music directors, a format commonly seen in Bollywood projects.

Traditionally, many Hindi films rope in more than one composer to create a varied soundtrack, catering to different moods and commercial elements. However, this approach is quite different from Paidipally’s working style. 

The Telugu director, known for films rooted in a South Indian sensibility, has largely collaborated with single music directors to maintain consistency in tone and background score till date and has had good music in all his films.

This shift raises an interesting question, will this Bollywood-style music strategy blend seamlessly with Paidipally’s filmmaking approach? His previous films have relied heavily on cohesive musical narratives, where songs and background score play a unified role in storytelling.

On the other hand, working with Salman Khan is not an easy task as it often involves a lot of his involvement in the music score. It could also be a strategic move to maximize reach across different listener bases and Salman has a lot of say in all this.

For now, these developments remain speculative. But if true, it will be intriguing to see how Vamshi Paidipally adapts to this format and whether the experiment enhances or disrupts his signature style.

The movie’s shoot has already begun, with Salman Khan and Nayanthara coming together for the first time under the direction of Vamshi Paidipally. Reports also suggest that Aravind Swami may join the project in a key role in the coming days. Backed by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film is targeting a grand Eid 2027 release.
