Director Venky Atluri surprised everyone with the success of the film Sir ( Vaathi ), starring Dhanush in the lead role. The movie not only gave a success to Venky but also to Dhanush who later went on to release more films in Telugu.
The combination always carries the ‘success’ tag, and now, it is confirmed that the duo will be working once again. During the pre-release event of the film Kara, the actor confirmed the same.
Speaking at the event last evening, Dhanush said that Venky narrated a story to him long back but then disappeared. Dhanush asked Venky to come back with the same story and he is ready to take it forward.
Venky is working on Viswanath & Sons with Suriya, which is gearing up for release very soon, and will then move on to a Netflix series with Siddhu Jonnalagadda.
In fact, we already broke the news last year about the reunion of Dhanush and Venky. They are likely to reunite with Sithara Entertainments for a project tentatively titled Honest Raj. But, the reality of the project taking a shape is currently in the hands of the director.
Earlier, there were also reports that Venky is planning a film with Nani. At least for the next two years, Venky is already busy and even if Dhanush is ready, Venky’s availability remains uncertain. It may take more time for this Vaathi combo to materialize again.
It will be interesting to see whether Dhanush will wait longer for his hit director or not. As of now, the project isn’t officially announced, though their collaboration is confirmed for the future.
