Sukumar’s Big Claim on Charan’s Peddi Performance

After weeks of suspense and uncertainty, Ram Charan’s long awaited sports drama ‘Peddi’ has finally sealed an ideal release date today. The team has announced that the film will hit the screens on June 4, which is exactly just over a month to go.

While the announcement gave much relief to fans and trade circles, one big statement made during this event has immediately gained huge attention much more than the release date itself. It came from none other than Pushpa director Sukumar, who happens to be a protege and close mentor of Buchi Babu.

Sukumar revealed that he was blown away by Ram Charan’s energy and agility in Rai Rai Raa Raa song. He further made a big statement that Charan has out-performed himself and delivered his best for Peddi. Sukumar admitted that Charan’s performance in Peddi will be a notch better than every other film including his own Rangasthalam.

There is no exaggeration in saying that Charan lived his ‘Chitti Babu’ character in Rangasthalam and nailed it with his best performance till date. It was like a tour-de-force for Charan’s acting career and absolute masterclass on how to portray an emotionally charged character.

Going by the reports till now, Peddi is also going to be a challenging role for Ram Charan. So, if he can once again ace through such an author backed role again with another stupendous performance, it will be a huge feat deserving high acclaim not just for Charan himself but for also Buchi Babu in bringing the best out of the actor.

If this big revelation from Sukumar turns out to true, no doubt his student Buchi Babu will score a distinction for his directional skills. We have to wait for June 4 to witness these words.

Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film has Ram Charan in the titular role, alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Jagapathi Babu in prominent roles. The project is backed by Vriddhi Cinemas, with music composed by A. R. Rahman.
