The long-delayed release of Jana Nayagan appears to be back on track as fresh reports suggest that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has personally stepped in to speed up the process and make sure the film releases soon.
The film, widely believed to be Vijay’s final outing before fully focusing on politics, had been stuck for months due to issues related to CBFC clearance. This created so much disappointment to the fans and general audience.
Reports claim that Vijay has now reopened discussions regarding the film’s release and has even asked producer Venkat K. Narayana of KVN Productions to return to Chennai from the ongoing Cannes Film Festival.
Industry sources state that the makers are making all possible efforts to secure the required approvals and ensure a smooth theatrical release. The film had initially been slated for a Pongal 2026 release but faced multiple hurdles after objections were reportedly raised over certain scenes and dialogues.
Directed by H. Vinoth, the film stars Pooja Hegde alongside Vijay and has generated massive anticipation among fans. With the latest developments, there is renewed hope that the much-awaited film may finally arrive in theatres soon.
