For years, audiences have watched Ram Pothineni break molds. He danced with flair, fought with fire, charmed with ease, and even surprised fans by writing lyrics and lending his voice for Andhra King Taluka. But nothing could have prepared them for his next bold move- a leap into storytelling itself.
His new film, #RAPO23, isn’t just his 23rd outing as an actor; it marks the moment Ram steps behind the camera, choosing to direct a world born from his own imagination. He has chosen the rare path of crafting a psychological action thriller, and on his birthday, the makers unveiled the very first whisper of this world- a poster drenched in mystery.
Ram appears as Veera, his back turned, a leather jacket catching the muted light. His V-cut hairstyle slices into the frame, shaping a silhouette of raw rebellion. Behind him, a massive red V crackles like a warning. Ghostly skyscrapers loom on either side, hinting at a city where danger shadows every corner. The tagline, The Story of a Lone Wolf, feels less like a line and more like a prophecy.
Beyond playing the lead and directing the film, Ram has also penned the story. Krishna Pothineni is producing the project under Rapo Cinematics. The film goes on floors in June, with plans for a December release. More updates are awaited.
